ORIO: THE SOLUTION FOR LARGE-SCALE FARMING
As cultivated areas increase, difficulties increase as well. Orio is the answer to the problems horticulturists face : recruiting seasonal workers to weed manually and the ever decreasing choice of crop protection products, to manage large surfaces and their wide diversity of crops.
Imagine if you could have a machine able to work on up to 8 hectares per day…autonomously. Yes, without supervision. You set it, program it, and just perform a few checks or replace the batteries.
This is exactly how Orio works. Its specialty is seeding, cultivating and inter-row weeding. As of spring 2023 we will be adding the long awaited, on-the-row active tool, allowing a high quality 360° weeding on up to 6 rows of vegetables at 2-3 km/h! The payback is almost immediate!
You can of course augment it with your own, or a wide range of existing mechanical tools.

The robot Orio has been designed to perform precise and accurate mechanical weeding on large-scale open-field vegetable beds. Its size and power allow it to also work in row crops. Orio adapts to any type of soil and crop: lettuce and carrots, salads and cabbage, and of course, extensive cultivation of sugar beet, corn and soybeans.
With almost 10 hours of autonomy, it can cover areas of up 8 hectares per day. Orio does a neat job in different ways: 100% electric, it does not produce emissions and helps you carry out a sustainable crop protection strategy.
During the day and, why not, at night. All you need is a battery change: Orio works even in the dark, and unlike humans, it never gets tired.
